This, this is why I can’t be a normal pastry chef….
Why do I feel the need to make things strange?
Why do I need peoples’ brains to think more than twice before trying one of my creations?
Why the hell won’t I just make a simple chocolate cake?
….I don’t know….there is clearly something wrong with me.
Why this rant you may ask? Whenever I get the time I like to make a random dessert for the Friday meeting at OOO. There are many people there that are adventurous enough for me to be able to bounce my random recipes off of them and receive frank and honest feedback in return. Tomorrow I will be testing my newest creation on them, chocolate-vanilla-green tea-orange infused cheesecake with raspberry-pomegranate coulli.

It’s been so long since I played a good RPG. I had such high hopes for Shining Tears and Radiata Stories, neither was able to satiate my need for a beautiful, turn-based RPG; mainly because I couldn’t handle their cut scenes and load screens. If I wanted to spend that much time not playing a game, well….I’d play many of the Xenosaga games I own. Alas, the last game I was able to sink my teeth into was Viva Pinata and that game just brings out the OCD in me.
*sigh*
Wait…is that light at the end of the tunnel? No, no it’s better! It’s Blue Dragon from the Microsoft Game Studios and the acclaimed Akira Toriyama! I’ve only played the game for a little over 2 hours now and I’m very pleased. The combat style and HUD are easily navigated, the voice acting is great, and is that an enemy called a Poo Monster? Awesome, just awesome. You’re first real boss battle features some awesomely inspiring buttrock that will leave you giggling (from wondering what is actaully being said. Did they just say “break your hand on silly string”?) and humming the tune for hours. The game has a feature that will test your will to just get stuff done or screw around. Did you slice every bush in Zelda? Did you hump every wall in Wolfenstein 3-D to find hidden doors? Well then Blue Dragon wants you to play it. You can kick, push, open every rock and tree. If you’re a player like me, you’ll just do that for hours.
Combat is very satisfying with a good range of abilities from the get go…well not right away; but at least after you swallow the strange voice’s blue balls……
…you heard me.
The only down side of the game…..it’s 3 disks long. Maybe I was fated to quit my job just so I could have the time to play. The timing makes me wonder. Either way, Lisseromen and Dacquoise are just going to have to chill for awhile.
I’ve noticed that people have started to find this site. So I’d just like to say, thanks for visiting; but keep in mind that we’re still under construction.
This site just keeps getting more awesome per day!
